Helpful hints for getting clothing

OK folks.  Let's be honest.  The clothing you wear on trek is very likely to be ruined.  So, please don't spend a ton of money on it.  And please, don't wear something that you would be heartbroken to see destroyed.  With a little creativity, you can buy, borrow, or even sew some great pieces to give you the perfect pioneer chic look for our trek.

Option/Tip #1 - THRIFT SHOPS

For very little money, you can usually find high quality clothing items that would work well for trek.  Especially consider looking here for long skirts, khakis or cargo pants for YM, and shirts for both.  A long skirt can be hemmed and a regular dress shirt with part of the collar removed makes a perfect pioneer shirt for boys.  Salvation Army, Goodwill, Savers, Plato's Closet are all local options, among many others.

Option/Tip #2 - SEW YOUR OWN

Option/Tip #3 - BORROW FROM A FRIEND

Option/Tip #4 - PURCHASE GEAR ONLINE
