We are so thankful for our awesome ward leaders and your willingness to help make this a wonderful experience for your youth. Please check back often as this page will be updated to reflect what we need our amazing ward leaders to help with, as well as any action deadlines that might be needed. Until then, thank you in advance for your help with these items!
Collect Permission Forms
We are asking that the YW President of each ward keep the parental permission forms for all the youth (YM and YW) in your ward. YM Presidents, please do not let the burden of collecting these forms fall solely on the YW Presidents. If there are YM who have registered with the Stake, but not turned forms in to the ward YW President, YM Presidents should track those down please. (Note that participants have been asked to forward a picture of this form to the Stake to complete their registration, but the original should go with whomever the youth drive with on June 5th.)

Please talk trek up to your youth! This is going to be a wonderful experience, so please focus on the amazing blessings they gain by going and sell it as something they don't want to miss! Trek invitations and reminders are also a great reason to get out and do some visits to the youth you see less often. :) We will also send you information from time to time regarding activities, physical fitness or spiritual fitness challenges, family assignments, trek meetings, etc... Please help us get this information to your youth, their parents, and any mas and pas called from your ward.
Clothing
We are asking that the ward leaders take on the responsibility of making sure that their youth have the help and support that they need to get the appropriate clothing for trek. Some of your youth may just need a reminder and will be able to get "geared up" with just the help of their families. Others may need you to help them borrow clothing or even find someone who can sit down with them and help them sew their clothing. Please see the clothing page for some simple patterns and for details on what should be worn.
Transportation
The wards/branches will be responsible for finding transportation for their own members and all of their associated clothing and personal items. This includes transportation to the Jemez on June 5th and transportation from the Jemez on June 8th. The Stake will be in contact to make sure units know who has registered. Please stay on top of this and make these arrangements early (beginning of May if possible.)
Gear
The Stake does not own the gear needed to feed, and "house" all of our youth, so we will be relying on Stake members to loan their personal equipment for the week. We have an amazing equipment and transportation couple (Jake and Tammy Robinson) and they will make arrangements to pick up, track, and return all equipment that is borrowed. Wards/Branches are being asked to supply at least what their own members would need to enjoy the trek.
